What is my "barcode number," "student ID," or "GCTS ID"?

I am trying to access an electronic resource, but I am being asked to enter my "barcode number or student ID." Or, I am being asked to enter my "GCTS ID."

Where can I find my "barcode number or student ID"?

Answer

Electronic resources that are only available to GCTS students, staff, and faculty require you to log in using your GCTS ID number (the Digital Theological Library refers to this number as a 'barcode number or student ID').

Students:

To log into these databases, you need to use your "barcode number or student ID" (your GCTS ID). This is the six-digit student ID number viewable on your student ID card or in your CAMS profile.

Faculty:

To log into these databases, you need to use your GCTS Faculty ID. Faculty IDs can be obtained securely by clicking "Edit Profile" on the CAMS Faculty Portal. Faculty with an alternate ID starting with "1" or "2" may also use this as their barcode.

Staff:

To log into these databases, you need to use your GCTS Employee ID Number. Employee IDs can be obtained securely from the GCTS Employee Directory. After logging into the directory, enter your last name and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. Click the green icon  to view your Employee ID. Employees with an alternate ID starting with a "1" or "2" may also use this as their barcode.

Next Step:

Once you have that barcode number, you can return to the login, select "Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary" and then enter your barcode number.
